Recently, on High Stakes Poker, there was a huge moment when Andrew Robl made an unbelievable fold that shocked everyone, including the fans, commentators, and the rest of the players watching.

People have discussed this fold so much because it happened after Andrew lost $3,000,000 at PokerGO studios.

A Massive Game With Big Names

The action went down during a televised cash game at a high-stakes table; the blinds were $500/$1,000 with $2,000 straddles.

Justin Gavri opened the hand by raising to $5,000 with . Sam ‘Senor Tilt’ Kiki called from the small blind with , and Robl defended his big blind with , creating a multi-way pot.

The flop came . Both Kiki and Robl checked. Gavri bet $8000, then Kiki called, and Robl decided to check-raise to $35000 with his flush draw.

Gavri called with a better flush draw, but Kiki folded.

The Hand Builds to a Dramatic Finish

The  fell on the turn, and Robl slowed down the action by checking back to Gavri, who also checked back with the intention of controlling the pot size.

When the   was dealt on the river, Robl had completed a flush and made a massive overbet of $125,000, which appeared to be the right play with the possibility of winning a huge pot.

However, Gavri raised the stakes by moving all in for $290,000.

From that moment on, everything changed.

A Fold That Shocked the Poker World

The commentators were shocked as the events took place. Both Schulman and Hanks anticipated that Robl would make the call, as folding a flush is rarely likely to happen in that spot.

Robl went into a deep tank. For more than 3 minutes, he sat in silence, considering every aspect of the hand, as those watching could feel the anticipation growing as he thought about his next move.

Ultimately, he made an unbelievable decision and folded.

Immediately following this decision, Schulman stated that it was the best fold that he had seen in a cash game.

The hand quickly went viral, and fans and players began arguing over whether it deserved to be called the "best fold ever."

Reactions and What Happened Next

The hand caused much debate in the poker community. Basically, while some people agreed with Schulman's comments, others thought they were too emotional.

Sports analyst Nick Wright took to social media to express his opinion about the play, saying it was as exceptional as it could've been and that he was impressed with how well Schulman captured the moment.

Robl's incredible fold reminds poker fans of similar plays before.

A good example of this occurred in 2021 during an event where both Doug and Phil had massive stacks, and another example would be when Kristen Foxen folded pocket kings preflop not long ago at another Triton event.

Despite a remarkable fold from Robl, he didn't finish strong during his last stream; he ended up with over $900k in chips after the stream but lost overall for the week.

Eric Wasserson was the biggest winner from this poker session, walking away with $1.5M+ in profit.

However, it’s Robl’s fold that everybody will remember.
