The World Series of Poker announced the schedule for the 2025 festival, which includes 30 online bracelet events. This summer, players will compete for 130 coveted gold bracelets.
There will be a hundred live events in February. From May 27th to July 16th, the series will be held at the Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas convention centres. Online events will take place on Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays during that period.
Online Poker Expansion in the U.S.
On the same day the WSOP announced its virtual felt schedule, a Pennsylvania client announced its formal membership in the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement. The client also combined the Keystone State, New Jersey, Nevada, and Michigan player pools.
So far, the only online poker rooms that have merged their Pennsylvania pools into the MSIGA are Wsop.com and BetMGM. WSOP is also the only operator in all four states.
Therefore, since online poker grew outside of Nevada, this will be the first time all qualified players will fight for online bracelets on the same platform.
The Pennsylvania player pool was added to WSOP Online at just the right time to give poker players in the Keystone State a chance to raise the stakes of their games. Danielle Barille, VP of online poker at Caesars Entertainment, says this growth is meant to improve the player experience by making even bigger prize pools available all summer as part of the active WSOP Online schedule.
Live Final Tables Return to the WSOP
The final table of five of the thirty tournaments will be played live at the Horseshoe Las Vegas. At the final table, the five highest-buy-in tournaments will end online play and go straight to the Las Vegas Strip to choose a champion.
Here are five events that will conclude with a live final table:
- $3,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller
- $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Max High Roller
- $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em
- $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Championship
- $3,200 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Max High Roller
The live final tables, honouring the first online WSOP events in 2015 and 2016, eliminated any fears of ghosting that might have existed at the final table of the highest buy-in online tournaments.
Only one online tournament took place in 2015 and 2016, and it concluded with a final table at Rio's "Thunderdome" to determine a winner. Anthony Spinella won the first online tournament in 2015, and Clayton Maguire won the 2016 one.
Since then, the online component of the schedule has grown exponentially. However, nine years of online events have not yielded an in-person winner.
Furthermore, an independent leaderboard and Player of the Year competition will be on the online calendar. The 2025 WSOP Online Bracelet Player of the Year award will go to the player who finishes first on the leaderboard.
Official satellites into live WSOP events are exclusively available on WSOP.com, despite not being an official part of the series.
