The World Series of Poker is relocating to a new venue once again and will continue to be one of the premier events to visit in the world.
The WSOP Paradise series, which is very popular, will now take place in the Bahamas.
This is a big change for one of the fastest-growing poker festivals.

WSOP Paradise Heads to Baha Mar in 2026
For several years, the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort & Casino, also known as Atlantis, has hosted the WSOP series.
It is one of the world’s popular resort destinations for playing poker in the Bahamas.
The resort is known as being the location of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure as well as several other big events.
Starting in December 2026, the WSOP series will move to another of the area’s newest and most upscale resorts, the Baha Mar Resort, which is located just five minutes from Atlantis.
Many of the other tournament series that have taken place there regard the new venue highly.
The new venue will offer a very different experience compared to the WSOP series.
However, players can still look forward to a relaxing warm-weather getaway while participating in the tournament.
The Baha Mar in the Bahamas will host the upcoming WSOP events from December 1 to 18, 2026.
These will include 15 bracelet events using identical formats to those used in all other WSOP festivals across the globe.
With the WSOP seeking ways to expand their horizons and reach their players all over the world, choosing to partner with Baha Mar in this way is just one of the many new initiatives planned by the team behind the WSOP.
By having an additional new venue for poker tournaments, they hope to attract more poker players globally and improve not only the tables of the resort but also the entire resort experience when they visit.
The Return of the $60 Million Super Main Event
The Super Main Event will also be a highlight of WSOP Paradise and has developed into one of poker's biggest events in just a few short years.
In 2025, it was widely covered by the media around the world and boasted a record-breaking guaranteed prize pool of $60 million.
Because of the demand for this event, there were more than 2,891 entries, resulting in an overall prize pool of more than $72 million.
This event now has one of the biggest live poker prize pools ever.
Bernhard Binder was the eventual winner, taking home an astounding $10 million first prize.
This win solidified this event as must-play for professionals and aspiring new players alike.
As this year's Super Main Event approaches, there is already a strong sense that the tournament will have a similar turnout, with many of the same major partnerships likely to return.
Partnering with GGPoker and Triton Poker Series in the past positively impacted attendance at the event and raised awareness around the globe.
If they continue their support of the tournament, it is highly likely we will see an increase in tournament attendance as compared to last year.
Lessons from WSOP Europe’s Successful Move
Recently, there has been a major change in the WSOP schedule. An example is the announcement of WSOP Europe's new venue.
The event previously took place in Rozvadov but will move to the Hilton Prague.
This location shift was a very positive move.
Many players travelled to the capital city of the Czech Republic, which resulted in more participants in the tournament series.
The new location in the capital city of Czech Republic had many advantages that made it a great choice for WSOP Europe, including better access and a lively atmosphere.
Some excellent performances also took place at the WSOP Festival, particularly from Germany.
Ole Schemion won the Pot Limit Omaha European Championship, and German players in total won 5 out of 15 events held at the festival.
Attendance at lower buy-in tournaments was excellent, as well.
The €565 Colossus tournament had 2,662 entries, which was the highest number of participants of any tournament, even more than the Main Event.
Another interesting note is that no player won multiple bracelets at WSOP Europe Festival, leaving the Player of the Year race very competitive due to all the uncertainty created by so many different winners.
A Big Year Ahead for WSOP
This year's World Series of Poker is also focused on growth and innovation through significant changes in venue in both Europe and the Caribbean.
By relocating WSOP Paradise to Baha Mar, WSOP hopes to bring a fresh level of excitement to the event, while upholding its history of offering large cash prizes and world-class competition.
As we get closer to December, players will be looking for how the new venue performs compared to previous years.
Initial expectations are indicating that the WSOP Paradise 2026 will be among the largest single events within the whole worldwide tournament poker schedule.
